This group was created to improve literacy skills for beginning and struggling readers. It is best suited for children in Kindergarten and First grade, but can also be helpful for children falling behind in the Second grade.
This class will be facilitated by Kasey McElheny, M.S., CCC-SLP of Small Steps Therapy. Kasey holds a Phonics First (Orton-Gillingham accredited) certification. Phonics First instruction uses an effective, fun, multisensory approach to reading and spelling, including introductory supportive strategies that can be carried over. Necessary materials will be provided.
