Feeding and Swallowing
Feeding and swallowing is a very complex process.
Our team specializes in providing evaluation and treatment for feeding difficulties related to a variety of factors including medical, psychosocial, sensory, and skill-based needs.
Using a unique team approach including speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists and registered dietitians, we assess each individual as a whole and consider the many complexities that are involved in eating. Our collaborative approach allows us to consider many different factors and truly present a unique perspective. We work together to create a treatment plan that allows the individual to progress towards their goals in a supportive, therapeutic environment considering their individualized goals and needs.
Our feeding specialists hold advanced training in a variety of methods to support children throughout their feeding journeys, including Supporting Oral Feeding in Fragile Infants (SOFFI), Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding, Beckman Oral Motor Training, Talk Tools, and more, as well as advanced lactation providers including an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), CLCs (Certified Lactation Counselors) and CLSPs (Certified Lactation Support Providers).
